Surpassing the Teacher

Did you know my entire goal in Beyond the Brushes is to see other artists succeed? 😲 Yup, that's right. I want the students in Beyond the Brushes to grow, develop, and become better artists.
Would it hurt my feelings if they surpassed me?
Absolutely not!
All that means is I am accomplishing my goals and helping artists to unlock their potential. There is so much more to art than competing with other artists. Each artist has a unique outlook and potential to share.
So, as a teacher and an artist, I'm here to be the mentor, the cheerleader, the demonstrator, the resource, the director, the connecter, and so much more. 🤗 For some, it's hard to understand wanting others to succeed, but for me, it's hard to be upset when you see someone blossom. 🌸
