Salvaging Memories
My close friend and professional photographer, Bree Adams (Texas), took her daughter to Italy. Her camera broke during the trip and all of the photographs were back focused. Way too blurry to be printed as a photo, but easily salvageable in paint! Turning trash into unique artwork is my jam.
Painting is so much more than "just art." It is a way to immortalize cherished memories, a connection between the past and the present. Though the image is still stationary, there's a story and a movement of emotion within the painting. To evoke emotion is to produce true art.
And, it turns out, Beyond the Brushes' community members also seem to have a knack for this, which is why we have the "Golden Turd Award." You can find some of their amazing transformations here: https://www.elevateyourart.com/beyond-the-brushes-golden-turd-award-winners.
Hand-painted in Adobe Photoshop CC using the Wacom Intuos Pro and the Wacom Art Pen.
