Rufus Uses People

Have you ever had someone that you'd rather risk running past a crocodile-infested lake than be around that person? Those are some of Rufus's easy targets to get your mind unfocused from what you are doing and take the wind out of your sails for the projects. But do you know who Rufus uses most of the time?

 

The people you choose to be around!

 

That's right. It's a harder battle for Rufus using the people you love against you, but access to you is so much easier. So, he will let them make indeterminate nonverbal queues when you talk to them or show them projects. He will keep their minds wrapped up in the events of the day and tell you that they don't care about what you're doing, what you're saying, or what you're painting.

Hold on one second, and think about it.

 

1) Why do you love these people that YOU CHOOSE to be around every day?

 

2) Do they have your best interest at heart?

 

3) Have they believed in you through the hard times?

 

4) What happened during their day to make them seem more nonchalant to you?

 

It is easy when Rufus is whispering in your ear that you're not good enough to jump to conclusions about how others react when you talk to them or show them a project. That's what he wants!

 

Recognize that he is using people (without their knoweldge) to REALLY take the wind out of your sails. Stop him in his tracks, and take that power away!
