Paint It Out
“Life beats down and crushes the soul and art reminds you that you have one.” -Stella Adler
There is something about painting that starts rolling back all of your emotions and focusing them into the canvas. It is like a mental restart, refresh, and reset.
In all of the constant hustle and bustle of today's society, creating is a pause that refills your lungs with air and rejuvenates your soul.
In times of happiness, painting increases and elevates that happiness, sharing and celebrating in our joy. In times of sadness, painting entraps the emotion in a capsule of anguish yet also understanding that is shared among the painter, the canvas, and the viewer.
Art is a far better listener to the groanings of our souls than people often are. It gives us its full, undivided attention while we express ourselves and then relates back our feelings to help us better process and understand them.
There is so much that a painting can do for one's mood, so when everything seems to be too much to contain or too much to express, it might be in your best interest to just sit down and paint it out.
Hand-painted in Adobe Photoshop CC using the Wacom Intuos Pro and the Wacom Art Pen.
