Noticing the String
"Whatever you do in life, if you want to be creative and intelligent, and develop your brain, you must do everything with the awareness that everything, in some way, connects to everything else." -Leonardo da Vinci
The sooner you learn that everything is connected, the easier your life will be as an artist. You might be asking why, but the answer is simple.
The more you look inside yourself and realize your inextricable attachment to the environment and people around you, the more easily you will connect with your viewer through your artwork.
You see, life is like one, big, jumbled ball of yarn. ๐งถ And people? Well, we are the cats. ๐ We chase after our goals in life. Sometimes we crash into one another in our pursuit, and other times we just play with our little section. But either way, we are touching, chasing, and interacting with the same ball of yarn.
Life is something that we share, whether we like it or not, with everything and everyone around us.
Some connections are thin and snap as we trample on through, while others are thick and make sure we are slapped in the face.
Even if two things seem completely unrelated, it is important to remember that everything is connected. We just don't always trip over the string.
