Just because you don't finish with the image you began with does not mean it is "lesser than" the original.
Breaking out of the box, seeing where the paint takes you, and relying on instinct as much as technique can lead to some of the most stunning masterpieces you have ever created.
Never settle for just the original when you have set out to create.
