Have you ever had or seen a painting with extremely mixed reviews? Some viewers are entirely indifferent to the piece, whereas others seem to be entranced and like they can't get enough of it.
Did you know that often happens with every painting (even if it is "good")? 🤯 Some paintings just tend to trigger those who are more vocal about their displeasure. (Don't ask me how to tell if your painting will be one of those. I'm still trying to figure that out myself.)
But you see, a viewer's opinion is based on the connection they are able to make with the piece.
Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, and if your goal is to please everyone with your art, well,...get in line. But I promise it won't be moving anytime soon.
Get comfortable with dissatisfaction. As long as it isn't the client expressing it, it's all going to be just fine. 😊
