Endless Memories
"The world of reality has its limits; the world of imagination is boundless." -Jean-Jacques Rousseau
An emotion-imbued painting makes time stand still. Just for a moment, everything is as it once was or how you wish it would be. People can become what you think of them or just a piece within an overall concept (that goes for animals too).
The outcomes are endless.
Painting has been such a source of solace. Being a parent and watching your children grow up is both wonderful and difficult all at the same time.
Time capsules of memories for a photographer and painter with children usually include making them put on crazy costumes. 🤣 Some are definitely more willing than others, but the memories are cherished nonetheless.
Do you know why I tell you this?
Because as artists, we can become so busy with commissions, preserving clients' memories, and competitions, meeting technical standards and all the rules, that we forget to preserve our memories and meet our standards.
During this holiday season, I urge you to be present, and once it is all over, take the opportunity to preserve your memories and meet your standards. Satisfy that need to create and also to do something for the ones you love.
From the realistic to the imaginative, the outcomes are endless not just for your clients and competitions but for you too.
