Last month was one filled with season setting. You'll notice I seemed more active in my own personal work. That's because of the simple fact that I WAS!
Did you know every artist needs a break sometimes?
Yes, I love art. Yes, I love painting. Yes, I love teaching.
However, too much of a good thing won't seem good forever. The impact becomes attenuated when you have it every day, day-in and day-out.
And honestly, that is how the human brain works! If our physical needs are already met (important caveat there), then changes in our routines and environments will eventually feel the same as the previous situations. That is because our brains return to baseline, except they've set an entirely new physical baseline it's just the emotional that has changed.
It's important to shake things up a bit! Take a break, take a trip, change your physical baseline. Then, you'll be ready to step back out into the limelight and experience your own highlight.
